I been reading on the old forums about CraftOS 2.0, but not entirely sure when it will be released. I am continuing to look further, but some of it sure looks awesome!

It will most definitely not be released at this point, honestly. It would be faster to just clone the features yourself than to wait for Dan200 to release it. How long has it been now, 6 years?
CraftOS-PC 2 (https://github.com/MCJack123/craftos2) is basically "CraftOS 2.0". It includes features like a "graphics mode" which makes the terminal pixel-based.

At least I hope Dan200 actually releases CraftOS 2.0 to the public.
