Any way to update CraftOS in older versions of CC:T to latest?

I'm currently playing a 1.16.5 modpack, and while it's probably unlikely that later CC:T features are not backwards compatible without modifying mod files, I am wondering if there is a way to backport CC modules like cc.internal onto CraftOS 1.8.

Any CC pros know if this is possible by manually copying files or running a pastebin?

Not sure how to edit module files since I don't have elevated perms to touch read-only.
